Getting Advice?

A lot of decisions in life sometimes require us to pause a moment and really think for a moment of the best course of action. A lot of times we turn to our friends, family, co-workers, etc for a second opinion or advice on what to do. Life can be mind blowing when you really sit down and think about how many times you've had to make a decision on something completely unpredictable that occurs. Life is unpredictable and we never can guess what's going to happen next and what to do next. Every single person in the world holds a unique life which goes in completely different experiences and different perspectives. Everyone is different.

The point is a lot of times when we turn to our colleagues for advice, we first must understand that even though what they say may sound right.. It may not be right for you. We all go through different and unique experiences and a lot of times they may sound similar but thats only because a lot of the time there are a lot of details missing from the explanation of the scenario. The advice given may have worked for that person but could possibly do the opposite for you. You cannot expect to get good advice on your career path when the person telling you is a drug dealer. You cannot expect to get good advice on your relationship from a girl/guy who is either single or dating someone who their unhappy with or cheated on. You have come this far and experienced enough to learn to make your own decisions.

I'm not saying that most advice your given is all wrong however you must use your discretion carefully when making important decisions. You are the one experiencing it and you should know what's best for you. And if you really don't know, at least turn to a person who you know has actually experienced the same thing or has accomplished what you are trying to accomplish. Don't always turn to your BESTFRIEND or OLDER SIBLING etc for the answer cause chances are, half the time they could be wrong. If YOU happen to choose the wrong decision.. don't go and turn emo and beat yourself up about it. Again we're human and we make mistakes. The point is to learn from it.

The main point of this post is for all the people who are very indecisive in life and always turning to people for advice. Then end up regretting their choice and point the blame on others. This is a really sensitive topic to explain because you really have to have gone through an experience based upon this to really understand. Remember that you are the one who is in the driver seat and know when to accelerate and brake.. and even times when you need to reverse or have to do a complete u-turn. Obviously its a corny metaphor but you get the point. lol
